summer moments
This has been a different kind of summer for our family. We usually spend as much time in the outdoors as possible; fishing, boating and camping. Our summer this year has been spent at different doctors offices for our kids. We don't have any life threatening problems but we are dealing with some huge life altering changes. We are thankful and blessed that so far, we have been able to absorb the additional cost of these appointments and mostly that we are finally on the path to making our daughter feel better. We are also being faced with a large reduction in Erik's pay. We are working on making hard choices and big decisions for our family. So, instead of looking at September feeling refreshed and ready to tackle another school year I find myself feeling a bit overwhelmed. I have been reading different passages in my bible that have helped and I find that my prayer life and the holy spirit are so encouraging. God is good and I know that this season will pass too. Thanks for reading my ramblings!

One day at a time dear friend. I know that you can handle (with God) the challenges that come your way. I can see that you have tackled the gluten free diet whole heartedly, and what a wonderful lesson you are teaching your children. Sarah is full of grace and I can't help but think it is because of you and Eric. I am so blessed to have your family as friends. I did talk with Betty and I know that eye therapy seems like another overwhelming expense especially right now, but being able to take some of our supplies will help cut cost and we are happy to do that for you.
